As leaders at MotelChurch, we are called to serve another significant group of people. The volunteers. Just like the guests, each volunteer is on a path toward God and being at MotelChurch is a key step on their journey. Just like the guests, God is working in the lives of the volunteers and, as leaders, we must be sensitive to that and help nurture it.
To help us all better understand who we serve each week here is an infographic that illustrates who we serve and how best to make an impact on their lives.

So what’s next? What can we do with this information? Here are the next couple steps:
When you lead at the motel, consider what you can do to fulfill the needs listed in this infographic. Each group is very similar, yet they have some pretty obvious needs and wants. If we can work to meet those, then we are doing our job as servant leaders.
Welcome Everyone as Family
I hope, by looking at the infographic, you see that both groups are vital to our MotelChurch family, and they should be welcomed and treated as such. Every guest and volunteer should get an equally big smile and a, “Thank you for being here,” because we’re grateful to God that they are both there.
MotelChurch is a 100 percent volunteer lead organization. That means that everyone has a place, and everyone is needed to make this successful.
From our servant leaders and our speakers to the people behind the scenes during the week, we all have a role to play and it’s important that we remember that when working with each other and the volunteers that serve with us on the weekends.
We are all here only because God put us here and wants us working together as a church family. It’s in that spirit that we welcome and respect each volunteer and guest, as we would our family. Because that’s what they are, our church family.
